Do you want to design your own wedding day?

At Mortimer Park we start with a completely blank canvas so you can design your special day just as you want it. We offer a large venue with the capacity to host up to 300 guests, depending on the format of the event. At Mortimer Park we have no set packages or other hotel guests which allows flexibility and privacy for your big day.

The venue, which includes a fully-licensed bar and on-site catering facilities, is light and airy, offering panoramic views over the rugby pitches, a backdrop of Welsh mountains and a large outdoor terrace overlooking the sun set. The site has extensive free parking facilities including disabled parking spaces.

Mortimer Catering

We can provide a full catering service on-site and also off site at a location to suit you. With menus to suit all budgets and requirements to make your day truly special.

Location

Mortimer Park is a 19-acre site in the beautiful Welsh Marches area, located in the picturesque black & white village of Kingsland, Herefordshire. We are within 15 minutes’ drive of the stunning scenery of Wales and 20 minutes drive from Gourmet Ludlow.

Our head chef, Simon Price, will work with you to create the perfect menu to suit your day and budget.

Mortimer Park’s main function room offers large landscape windows along the terrace side of the building allowing for ample natural light and access to stunning scenic views.

Capacity

We can cater for a sit down meal, dance floor and an area for a live band for up to 160 guests. For a standing canape style reception our capacity is 300 guests. If you are looking to host a larger reception we also have the option to expand onto the outdoor patio area where a marquee can be erected to cater for up to 250 guests for seated dining.

Bar Facilities

The main function room offers its own well stocked bar facility with seven beers on tap including two traditional ales, a full wine list and extensive range of spirits and soft drinks.

Mortimer Park is the perfect location for your wedding reception.

During the run up to your wedding, a dedicated wedding co-ordinator will meet with you to plan your day down to every last detail.

For that extra special touch we can also provide:

  • White linen table cloths
  • Table runners, chair covers and sashes (available in a variety of colours)
  • Head table waiter for the duration of the service
  • Seating plans
  • DJ and entertainment packages
  • Registration, cards and gifts tables
  • Table decorations
  • Ample car parking space for you and your guests
  • Welcome drinks service
  • Room uplighters

We have excellent relationships with some fantastic local suppliers and can assist you in finding:

  • Wedding transportation
  • Chocolate fountains and candy carts
  • Photographers
  • Cake makers
  • Fantastic local accommodation for yourself and your guests

50 day guests – 100 evening guests

Includes:

  • Exclusive room hire

  • Toast drink

Our Events Manager will work with you from the beginning to ensure all of your expectations are met.

Cost: £4,000

100 day guests – 200 evening guests

Includes:

  • Exclusive room hire
  • Fully stocked bar
  • Welcome drinks
  • Chair covers
  • Sashes
  • 3 course meal (Diamond set menu)
  • Toast drink
  • Evening food (pork rolls)

Our Events Manager will work with you from the beginning to ensure all of your expectations are met.

Cost: £6,000

50 day guests – 100 evening guests

Includes:

  • Exclusive room hire
  • Fully stocked bar
  • Welcome drinks
  • Chair covers
  • Sashes
  • 2 course meal (Gold set menu)
  • Toast drink
  • Evening food (pork rolls)
